Deneen Treble - Nov. 13th

I love my Cuttlebug and would be lost without it.  I use it all the time for adding texture to my projects and for diecutting shapes.  I decorated the front of this notebook with Spellbinders Decorative Labels 8, Floral Ovals, and Classic Ovals Large, Nellie Snellen Corners, Cheery Lynn Desings Mini Fanciful Flourish, and I embossed a design on the Decorative Labels 8 using Craft Concepts Budding Vine Embossing Folder.

Here's a closeup of the decorative center piece.

I took a couple of photos of how I emboss a design on cardstock using an embossing folder, while keeping the smooth embossed edge of  the Spellbinders.
You can see how well loved my plates are:) The 'sandwich' I use is labelled in the photo for easy reference.  It is important to remember you are embossing with the folder OPEN...you are using the embossing mat to achieve your embossing.

Here's what it will look like after you embossed it.  You can use either side of the embossing folder...here I wanted the debossed look.  You can see the final look in the photo below.
If you find that you're having trouble getting a crisp embossed design, lightly spritz the cardstock while it's in the Spellbinder, and send through the Cuttlebug while damp...once embossed, let dry before using on your project.

  2. P.S. I happen to be preparing projects for an upcoming Craft Show, so it was perfect timing since I am ALWAYS using my Cuttlebug...I took a couple of extra pictures in case you wanted to use them...if you end up just using the one, that's fine, I always like to give more info than needed and you can pick/choose what you need to publish.
